Tickets are Booked!!!

A lot has happened in the last week or so. We had our last church presentation and said some really REALLY hard goodbyes. We had a little farewell party at my parents (THANK YOU to everyone who came out and said hello and goodbye! We appreciate it more then you know!). We shared hugs and tears with friends and family members for the last time in awhile and have wrapped up loose ends here with dentist appointments and eye doctor appointments as well.

The kids' passports came this week and they were really excited about their answered prayer. The morning that they came the children each prayed that they would get here that day. We needed them before we could book travel and we were wanting to book travel soon so they thought it would be a good idea to pray about it. Well, their prayers worked. They came in the mail that day (3 weeks early too!!)

So with all passports in hand we were also able to book travel! Wheels officially go up on September 7th at 7:30 am from Minneapolis. We got a really good rate and a really good travel itinerary. The travel time is a short 27 hours :) from wheels up in Minneapolis to wheels down in Cebu (with stops in San Francisco and Seoul South Korea as well). We are excited to finally have a date on the calendar! We will say goodbye to Sturgeon Bay on September 1st to do one last family tour before we go.

People keep asking how I am doing. Well, that changes from day to day, but overall really really well. The goodbyes are hard and are going to get much harder, however, the hellos are going to be so sweet as well! Our hearts have been in Cebu, and with the Children there at the shelter, since we left them there in March. We love them all so much already and cannot wait to share life with them, the staff, and the people we meet in the greater Cebu area. God has clearly called us to this purpose at this time in our lives and we are so excited to see how He leads. We know that God is giving us the strength and peace to say the hard goodbyes here in the states. To God be the Glory!

Have a blessed day!
